Events

Cumberland Riflemen is proud to host regular events across multiple shooting disciplines, open to all members as well as the general public. We host events for all ages, skill levels, and calibers. We also have a Junior Program for youngsters to learn and enjoy shooting sports in an environment and pace geared toward beginners. In addition to shooting events, we host various instructional events and classes surround firearm education and safety. You can view our calendar of events for the entire year below, with a printable version available as well.

More event information is available on our sister-site Cumberland Matches.

Rifle Division

At Cumberland Riflemen, our many varying rifle matches are the most popular events. We host weekly rimfire benchrest matches, including some ARA sanctioned matches. Also available are several high power rifle matches, including black powder matches.

Pistol Division

Cumberland Riflemen hosts regular precision pistol matches, including some NRA sanctioned matches. These matches are for any caliber pistol from .22 to .45, though .22LR is the caliber of choice, and consist of stationary and turning targets shot at 25 and 50 yard distances.

Junior Program

The Cumberland Riflemen Junior Program is led by John Patten, who also serves as Membership Chair and Executive Officer of the Club.

In addition to our safety training, shooting programs, and fun shoots, our Juniors compete in Ron Maxwell’s Rimfire Prone Matches, as well as CMP Rimfire Sporter Matches. We also coordinate to compete against other local clubs such the Salem County 4-H Shooting Team. We always start our year with a pizza party in February, and finish the season with a Parents-Child Shoot-Off, followed by another pizza party and awards ceremony in early November.

Our Junior Program has an amazing group of young boys and girls, and wouldn’t be possible without the help of some amazing parents. It is these families that are the reason for our continuing with this successful program. If there are any Club Members that have children, grandchildren, or friends between ages 10 through 17 that might be interested in having them join our Junior Program, please contact:
